William P. Heller is a Shareholder in Akerman Senterfitt's Fort Lauderdale office. He chairs the firm's Consumer Finance Litigation Team, concentrating on representing mortgage loan originators, servicers and investors, as well as collectors of consumer debt.

Mr. Heller has extensive experience defending individual and class consumer claims, and he leads the team's mortgage fraud practice group, focusing on investigating and prosecuting mortgage fraud cases nationally.

Mr. Heller was recognized as a leading Florida Litigation attorney in the 2006 and 2007 editions of Chambers USA: American's Leading Lawyers for Business. He was listed in Florida Trend's Legal Elite in 2007 and was included in South Florida Business Journal’s "Best of the Bar" rankings in 2005.
