Foreclosure Rescuer Sentenced to Probation

Darwin Bowman, Van Nuys, California, has been sentenced to probation, according to medial reports, for his role in a scheme whereby Bowman and two codefendants assisted homeowners in delaying foreclosure by filing for bankruptcy. The purpose of the scheme was to hinder, delay and obstruct creditors’ lawful foreclosure and eviction actions.

As previously reported by Mortgage Fraud Blog, Bowman was indicted in September 2010, by a federal grand jury on two counts of bankruptcy fraud. Bowman pleaded guilty to the following count one of the Indictment.
