Three Missouri men plead guilty in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme involving loans of over $6.3M whereby they obtained loans for property ‘investors’ based on falsified information and documentation. Pleading guilty were:
Jonathan Jennings, 33, Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Nathan Brinkle, 30, Kansas City, Missouri
Adam Kerr, 34, mortgage broker, Kansas City, Missouri
Brighter Homes East and JB Renovations, run by Jennings and Brinkle, purchased, rehabilitated and sold distressed properties to investors. Kerr, dba Platinum Mortgage II and later, Pearl Mortgage, brokered loans to the investors. The three men admitted that in obtaining loans for the ‘investors, they provided false information on 94 loan applications, including false installment payment information, HUD-1’s, contracts for deeds, closing funds, etc.

These guys ripped off dozens of people who trusted them of what they were selling. These guys are ruthless and very greedy. These guys have millions and guess what? They all walked, still free and still dealing with properties. This goes to show you that if you have enough money and a sneaky and ruthless lawyer, you can do ANYTHING! Way to go! Good for you.

One of these creeps (Brinkle) actually called me a few months ago asking if I would work with him in managing and selling some more property. Not just NO! Hell NO!
So you are right they are still out there and still doing the same old scams.
They plead guilty and went right back to doing what they do! Big deal.
