Randy Lee Wilkins, 48, Gilroy, California, was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for carrying out a mortgage fraud scheme in Fresno, California.The defendant and his co-conspirators defrauded lenders by using fraudulent loan applications misrepresenting their income, assets, liabilities and intent to occupy the residences.

Henry Fecker, III, 60, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Robin S. Rosenbaum to a superseding information charging him with one count of bank fraud. Fecker admitted that he obtained a $1.5 million bank loan in the form of a cash-out refinance by representing in his loan application that he earned a monthly salary of $102,083.

Ann Elizabeth Ursiny, a/k/a Ann Stone, 50, and Robert E. O’Connor, 63, have been indicted in connection with an advance fee scheme involving approximately 100 victims throughout the United States. The pair focused their scheme on prospective applicants who had poor credit or whose homes were underwater and represented that they could replace their mortgage with a new, smaller mortgage with lower mortgage interest payments.

Adam J. Manson, 42, Old Westbury, New York, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit securities fraud for engaging in a $96 million Ponzi scheme with co-defendant and former investment fund manager Brian R. Callahan.  The defendants diverted millions of dollars of investor funds towards the Panoramic View, an unprofitable 117-unit beachfront resort and residence development.

Bradley Holcom, 55, a real estate developer, admitted soliciting investors to provide funds for commercial and residential development through an investment program he operated called the Trust Deed Investment Program.  Holcom falsely told investors that they would receive a lien on a specific piece of property he was developing and that the lien would enable them to take priority over any other potential liens or interests in the property.

Laura Ortuondo, 33, formerly of San Diego, California, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Judge William V. Gallo to one count of making false statements to federal agents concerning her role in a nearly five-year cover-up of a scheme to defraud La Jolla Bank in connection with a $1.8 million loan that her former boss sought from the bank.

Henry Thomas Hammond, 57, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, formerly of Liberty, Missouri, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for a $6.2 million series of investment fraud schemes.  The defendant allegedly promised real estate investors an exorbitant rate of return, but instead, deposited investors’ funds into his personal bank account to make vacation home payments, and for elaborate hunting excursions
