Schelton Assoumou, 36, Brooklyn, New York, a real estate developer, was arrested on charges of bank fraud and wire fraud for his participation in a multi-year mortgage fraud scheme.
Gerald Lee Kelly, 48, Gilbert, Arizona, was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for his role in an investment scheme. Kelly pleaded guilty on May 14, 2012, to wire fraud, transactional money laundering, and structuring financial transactions through a domestic financial institution.
Billy Frank Davis, aka Bill F. Davis, 68, Houston, Texas, a former attorney, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for perpetrating a decade-long real estate investment fraud scheme that victimized more than 20 investors of approximately $7.8 million.
Karen Hanover, 46, Seal Beach, California, was indicted on mail fraud charges for allegedly running an investment scam that falsely promised ownership in real estate and cost victims more than $2 million.
