Svetislav Vujovic, 41, Brunswick, Ohio, was convicted of 14 counts related to illegally receiving more than $3 million from the St. Paul Croatian Federal Credit Union in exchange for cash payments to the credit union’s chief operating officer. Vujovic corruptly gave cash payments totaling approximately $20,000 to induce and reward the CEO for approving and facilitating the approval of fraudulent loans.

Seamus P. Dillon, 37, Ada, Michigan, was sentenced to two years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mortgage fraud. Dillon and his cohorts made a series of false statements designed to defraud the lender and obtained approximately $850,000, which they used for their own purposes.

Domingos Dias, 44, formerly of Trumbull, Connecticut, and currently residing in Easton, Connecticut, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill to 30 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for his involvement in a mortgage fraud scheme through the use of straw buyers that caused more than $3 million in losses to lenders.

Randy Lee Wilkins, 48, Gilroy, California, was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for carrying out a mortgage fraud scheme in Fresno, California.The defendant and his co-conspirators defrauded lenders by using fraudulent loan applications misrepresenting their income, assets, liabilities and intent to occupy the residences.

Henry Fecker, III, 60, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Robin S. Rosenbaum to a superseding information charging him with one count of bank fraud. Fecker admitted that he obtained a $1.5 million bank loan in the form of a cash-out refinance by representing in his loan application that he earned a monthly salary of $102,083.

Carmen Denise Mosley, 43, Granada Hills, California, a licensed accountant, was convicted following a five-day jury trial of conspiracy and fraud charges for participating in a mortgage fraud scheme in southern Nevada and causing approximately $1.6 million in losses to federally insured financial institutions.

Terrence Matthew Brown, also known as Terry Brown, 48, Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, was convicted in federal court of his role in a $2.7 million mortgage fraud scheme wherein he lied to lenders about his income, his employment, his assets and liabilities, and his intent to occupy the properties.

Marcus Payne, 44, Memphis, Tennessee, and Booker Smith, 30, Memphis, Tennessee, were indicted by a federal grand jury on April 16, 2014 on seven counts related to a mortgage fraud and identity theft scheme where allegedly they applied for mortgage loans to purchase residential properties using personal identifying information, including Social Security numbers, of others.
