Bell Holdings, Inc., and Bimija Limited Partnership, are the subjects of Administrative Complaints issued by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation charging each company with unlicensed mortgage lending activity.

The OFR is seeking a $25,000 fine from each company and cease-and-desist orders from violating Chapter 494, Florida Statutes.

Chapter 494, Florida Statutes, requires each person who acts as a mortgage lender to be licensed with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation, unless exempt.

Commissioner Drew J. Breakspear said, “The Florida Office of Financial Regulation works hard to protect Floridians, ensuring that entities operating in our financial services arena are properly licensed to do business.”
