Jill M. Evans, owner of Paramount Mortgage of Colorado Ltd., admitted defrauding more than a dozen individuals across the country out of thousands of dollars in fees for mortgages and loans she never delivered.  Evans further agreed to pay full restitution to the victims.

As previously reported by Mortgage Fraud Blog, Evans was indicted in January 2012, for stealing fees for mortgage loans that she never delivered.

Evans pled guilty to theft and forgery and under a plea deal agreed to pay full restitution of $919,465.35 to more than a dozen victims who reside in Colorado, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New York, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Nevada, Virginia and Washington.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers made the announcement.

“In cases like this, it is often challenging to secure compensation of victims for their loss. So it is especially gratifying that this case results in people receiving full restitution,” said Suthers.
